Manu Valentin is a trained historian and researcher specialising in the Jewish presence in Spain during the twentieth century. Author of "Barcelona, refugi de jueus (1933-1958)" (Angle Editorial, 2015); "Voces caídas del cielo. Historia del exilio judío en Barcelona, de 1881 a 1954” (Comanegra, 2019); and “La ciudad y la esvástica. Fascismo y antifascismo en la Barcelona de los años treinta y cuarenta” (Comanegra, 2022). He has coordinated the exhibition “Verbannung. L'exili jueu a Barcelona (1933-1945)” (Mozaika, 2013), which aims to rescue the history of Jewish-German exile in Barcelona between 1933-1945. He has commissioned the exhibition “Barcelona, a shelter for the Jews” (EUROM, 2019).
